In the early morning rain with a dollar in my hand
With an aching in my heart and a pocket full of sand
I’m a long way from home and I miss my loved one so
In the early morning rain with no place to go
Not quite sure why Gordon Lightfoot’s lyrics come to mind on this misty morn. Maybe it has something to do with travel plans for tonight and the thought that I will be heading into the path of Ophelia.
Or maybe it’s just laziness. When I quote a songwriter/poet like Lightfoot I don’t have to write much.

Thanks for sharing your photos and thoughts. It is always a joy and uplifting. I listen to a neighbor of yours, Seth Williamson, who lives somewhere in Floyd Co. My daughter and son-in-law and 5 grands live just south of you in Wythe Co. I appreciate your straightforward writing. Keep it up. A fan.

Oh my, that used to be one of my favorite songs when I was a young thing. I loved the lyrics. Thanks for the memory.
