Somebody in the household experienced a craving for pizza late Saturday night and although I wasn’t the the one with the craving, I was the one who crawled into the Wrangler and journeyed into town to pick up the object of said desire.
Not a total loss. The moon that greeted me as I headed home forced a stop along Sandy Flats Road to set up a tripod and capture some images.
And Dean Martin — yes, Dean Martin — came to mind:
When the moon hits your eye
Like a big pizza pie
That’s amore!
It must be amore. Why else would I be out on a lonely road on a Saturday night with a pizza in the front seat?

It is a beautiful picture. I especially love the way the light hits the tops of the clouds! (Hope the pizza didn’t get too cold!). Pizza…..you know that sounds pretty good right now……

great shot. I’ve been trying to “shoot the moon” with little luck, mine always seem fuzzy. I’ll get it right someday but till then I just be inspired by yours
