Cool, Clear Water

Like many homes fed by wells in Floyd County, we’ve been plagued lately with the sulfur odor of iron sulfate in our water. The water tests fine but the heavy iron content, which apparently increased in the county’s water table after the drought some years ago, can leave the sulfur odor lingering in the house.

No more. Thanks to a day of effort by master plumber Robbie Robinson, owner of Laurel Branch Plumbing LLC, our water now smells and tastes as clean as it looks. Robbie installed a full-house filtration system that washes the water through activated charcoal. It was one of several projects that kept him busy on our 28-year-old plumbing system Friday and we thank him every time we turn on the faucet.

Water, water everywhere and now lots of drops to drink.
