Digging out

We didn’t venture out at all Thursday, not with snow, sleet and freezing rain blanketing the area throughout the day.

But I will venture down to the bottom of the hill where the cars are parked in a bit to sample the roads into town. Schools remain closed today and two events I had scheduled were cancelled time is not the pressing issue.

However, my late stepfather’s brother died Wednesday – the last surviving brother – and visitation is tonight at one of the local funeral homes so we need to get out and take care of some business related to a death in the family.

Life goes on – even in death.

I would suggest looking up the words “Sieg Heil!” in a good German-English dictionary before passing judgment on the phrase.See “siegen” and also “heil” …(“heiligen” means holy….)
