Spring?

Yeah, it’s the first day of Spring and snow is falling outside. That’s right — snow. The forecasts from the talking heads is a smorgasboard of weather: snow, sleet, freezing rain, rain and even a thunderstorm or two.

There are daffodils in our front yard that wonder just what the hell is going on.

The tears for Loki symbolize a deeper hurt. When my mother in law died I Stayed by her and cut her hair and straightened out her body that had drawn up so small. I cried when I had to leave her body. The next day I went to the funeral home and while she was still hooked to the enbalming equipment I did her make-up and curled her hair and assisted in dressing her all the way to a lovely femine handkerchief to twine through her gnarled hands. I spoke at the funeral.
In our younger years I had promised to make sure they fixed her right.
But don’t give me a sick kitty or I’ll not be able to stay composed. It’s just a different spot in our brain that allows us to hold up when we have to and cry at our luxury.
