Went out Friday night to photograph the Friday Nite Jamboree. Doing such a job right means crawling around on the floor, climbing up for high angles and working up a sweat. So I was soaking wet when I left the Country Store for the cool, crisp night air. Big mistake. Woke up Saturday morning with chills, fever, coughing and respiratory problems. Damn. Loaded up on aspirin, drank lots of fruit juice and stayed in bed for the day. A full schedule went out the window while I paid the price for trying, once again, to do too much too soon.

I’ve been fighting these damn respiratory ailments since last November and no amount of rest, medication or medical treatment seems capable of beating them.

There must be snotty young punks still wet behind the ears with cameras there who you can coach to take pictures of this and that. They need to learn what you know and you need to take care of your health so you can enjoy your old-geezerhood for as long as possible.

  2. Dude,

I hope that you are drinking lots of water, LOTS of water and eating healthy. Healthy means lots of fruits and veggies, not meat and potatoes. I hope you feel better soon-remember, hydrate. You’re not THAT old. Go drink some water.Have a great day!
