Withdrawal

Part of settling down for a new (old?) life here in Floyd County means letting go. Step one ran today on Capitol Hill Blue, a web site I started on a whim back in 1994. Writing a final column means giving up one thing to start another. Maybe it also means I will have more time to write here. That could be good news or bad news, depending on your point of view.

  1. hi doug.. bin taking CHB a little while.. this to say thanks for the whim in starting it, may you have more..am moved to write, say how proud i was to read lines like in the finale. I live under a mountain, you on one; we both have a perspective on peace. From mine allow me add that what so-called leaders DO in america today IS cause for watching.. and something else.. a reminder of what they are NOT DOING.

    since you are going to be living in these hills, you should at least become aware of what is going on with them.
    Madeline sounds firmly in the “wise use” camp, trying to scare folks into gutting the environment in order to save your property rights… Duh.
