Honoring the state champs

A photography show honoring the Lady Buffaloes State Championship opens Monday evening at Jeri Rogers Photography Studio in the Village Green.

Jeri and her husband, Floyd attorney Jonathan Rogers, became avid fans of the team during their championship run and Jeri decided to shoot a free portrait of each member of the team to honor their season.

I've added an action show of each player to the show and we will present each player an 11 x 14 portriat and action photo as part of the show.

Photographing high school sports has been one of the special joys of returning to Floyd County after all these years and watching the girls' team reach their goal of a state championship made this season special.  This was a year of state championships with the golf Golf Team winning and Tyler Beckner taking a wrestling title.

Please drop by if you get a change. Jeri's studio is in the back area of shops in The Village Green and the public is welcome at an opening reception Monday at 7 p.m.  The show will continue at Jeri's studio for the spring and summer. (Photo and poster by Jeri Rogers)
