Floyd’s Music in the Park

A unique part of life in Floyd is the widespread available of free, and excellent music, especially in the Spring, Summer and Fall.

From the street music on Friday nights to the summer music series at Oak Grove Pavilion at Zion Lutheran Church to the music in the park series as part of the Floyd Town Jubilee, the streets and venues of Floyd are alive with the sound of music.

Sunday’s Music in the Park featured Nothing Fancy from Buena Vista as the headliners but the crowd that spread out on blankets or brought lawn chairs to Lineberry Park on Locust Street heard tunes from Gravel Road, a collection of young musicians, the Traynham Family, featuring Mac, Jenny and daughter Hanna plus Amber Collins and Turning Point.

Kids received free face painting and and the music flowed from 3 p.m. on.
