Full contact basketball

Floyd County High School’s 8th grade girls’ basketball team opened their home season Wednesday night with a 53-8 drubbing of Radford.

Looks like varsity coach Alan Cantrell has some exciting prospects coming his way in a couple of years.

  1. I always enjoy your coverage of the girls bball every season. Terrific photos. My Daughter is in her first year of varsity play and I am looking for a camera upgrade without breaking the bank. Am looking at a used Canon D20 and would like your thoughts on them. Also what lens may best suit basketball action. Thanks a lot.
