Good weather, sunshine and moderate temperatures greet this weekend, allowing a chance to see what is left of the leaf season.
A variety of entertainment choices in the area as well.
Temperatures are forecast for the lower 60s Friday, 66 on Saturday and 65 on Sunday with no rain in the forecast for the first two days and only a 10 percent chance on Sunday.
Wind has sent much of the leaf population into rake locations but some colors are still visible and picturesque on the trees along the Blue Ridge Parkway and other parts of the region.
The area favorite and nationally known Whitetop Mountain Band headlines a Saturday night dance at the Floyd Country Store starting at 7:30 p.m.
At the Friday Night Jamboree, yhe music starts with the Gospel Hour at 6:30 p.m. with The Comptons, then the dancing starts with The Lone Ivy String Band at 7:30 p.m.
Dogtown Roadhouse has The Moon and You at 8:00 p.m. Friday and The Get Right Band at 8 on Saturday night.
The Darkside Project, a tribute to the music of Pink Floyd, plays at Pine Tavern at 8 p.m. Saturday.
Saturday afternoon at The Floyd Country Store features Chris Smith at noon and Matt Phillips at 1 p.m.
