The winter of our discontent

Snow continues to fall outside the window.

Have I mentioned that I’m fed up with the snow and this winter?

Have I mentioned that I’ve taken out a contract on that groundhog up in Pennsylvania?

The storm canceled The Friday Night Jamboree for the third time this winter.

Schools are closed. Some businesses are closed. Interstate 77 in Carroll County is blocked from tractor trailers that jack knifed. The Virginia Department of Transportation is urging people to stay home and off the roads.

Many banks are closing by noon.

Appalachian Electric Power reports increasing outages: 2000 plus in Carroll County, 560 in Patrick, 240 in Franklin.
