At first, I felt sorry for those poor souls getting hammered by mother nature in the Midwest and Northeast and thought ‘poor devils,’ Then I poured another cup of coffee and laughed:
“Nah,” I said. “Let the poor bastards have their battle with the forces of nature. We had ours last year.”
Of course, that less-than-neighborly thought could come back to haunt me. We still have January and February to face here and neither month has been particularly kind to the area in recent years.
What the hell. Let’s live dangerously.
