Back on my feet and on the mend

I walked throughout Lowes this past weekend, looking for materials needed for long overdue repairs to the house (which my brother is helping us complete).

Two weeks ago, I couldn’t have talked from the handicapped parking area of Food Lion to the front door of the store without having to stop and let the pain subside in my legs.

After five months of back procedures and therapy, I’m back on my feet and functioning.  I still face several more months of strength training through therapy but I’m able to drive, walk more than a few feet without having to stop and rest and get through the day.  No more pain killers or muscle relaxers.

It feels good.

Damn good.
